Past Talks
Below you’ll find a selection of past talks I’ve given, spanning a range of topics, themes, and collaborations. Each one reflects a moment in my evolving journey, from early explorations to more recent work that continues to shape how we think about simulation, systems, and human connection. I’ve included a mix of formats and contexts, from keynotes to panel conversations, each contributing in its own way to the broader story of this field, and the questions that keep me curious.

“Why are we using simulation in healthcare all wrong?”

TEDx Talk 2018

Simulation is increasingly recognised an integral part of healthcare training and education. They are used for a variety of purposes from teaching small technical skills such as suturing to improving healthcare systems, communication, and teamwork. However, healthcare simulation approaches today are often too focused on mirroring current approaches and should rather focus on transforming and improving practises. This talk aims to re-imagine what simulation could be used for.
